There are numerous non-surgical facelift options available now in the plastic surgeon’s office. Cosmetic surgery was the only option years ago, but a dizzying number of treatments can maintain or restore skin health. In addition to the many options, plastic surgeons and dermatologists can mix and match office treatments to help achieve a patient’s desired results.
For example, a woman may dislike her forehead wrinkles and feel her smile lines could use some attention. She may have an important engagement in a few days, so she’s unable to get that brow lift or facelift that she knows she will eventually want. She visits a facial plastic surgeons’s office to review non-surgical options. Botox Cosmetic or Dysport can help soften and relax her forehead wrinkles, and a dermal injection of the smile lines with Restylane or Juvederm will add some needed volume. These 2 treatments take about 15 minutes and any bruising or swelling normally resolves in time for her engagement. Down the road, she’ll return for the facelift.
Another example, a younger woman in her 20’s always had small cheeks and and small lips. She feels too young to get plastic surgery, and prefers subtle improvements. She visits the cosmetic surgery office to review non-surgical options. Radiesse injection of the cheeks enhances the midfacial area, and a lip injection with Belotero plumps her lips naturally. Treatment is quick, and she may return to work the same day. Results last for several months.
These are just a couple examples of mixing and matching office treatment to rejuvenate the face without surgery. Speak with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss options.Share your thoughts below.
