Popular treatments in plastic surgery and dermatology offices may also trend on social media websites. Nonsurgical treatments continue to be the most popular. But above all, the trend is for natural results with a more balanced, subtle improvement in appearance.
Patients want to look better, not different. – Houtan Chaboki, MD, board certified facial plastic surgeon
Nose
Being in the center of the face, the nose tends to draw attention. Plastic surgeons try to reduce attention to the nose with rhinoplasty. Reducing a bump, narrowing or lifting the tip, and making the nose straighter are techniques rhinoplasty utilize to achieve this goal. Plastic surgery is normally required, but nonsurgical rhinoplasty with fillers may be an appropriate option for some patients.
Lips
The lips tend to start loosing volume around age 20’s, while some may have always had thinner lips. Typically, lip enhancement with subtle injections of a hyaluronic acid filler (ex. Juvederm®) can create fuller lips that don’t appear fake.
Eyes
Younger looking eyes have smoother skin without wrinkles or dark circles. Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate the upper and lower eyelids for a refreshed appearance. Non-surgical candidates can improve the appearance of the eyes with wrinkles relaxers (Botox®) or facial fillers (ex. Restylane®)
