Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) Before & After Case 198
Before & After
Case Details
Eyes are the first thing one notices and are a universal sign of health and beauty. As a result, cosmetic procedures around the eyes and forehead are very popular, including Botox® Cosmetic, brow lift, and eyelid surgery. Some of the first signs of wrinkling may appear around the eyes. The eyes may become gradually smaller, narrower, or tired appearing with time. Eyebrow descent also occurs slowly and can obscure beautiful eyes.
Brow lift surgery can help "open" up the eyes to rejuvenate the face, either alone or combined with eyelid surgery. A limited incision brow lift achieves a natural look with small incisions hidden in the scalp.
This Washington DC area patient had always felt her eyebrows were relatively low, which became even lower with age. The redundant tissue in the upper eyelid area is due to combination of excess skin of the eyelid and the eyebrow descending onto the upper eyelid skin. As a result, the eyes before surgery appear crowded and the eyelashes are hidden. She was referred to facial plastic surgeon Dr. Chaboki to review surgery options. She underwent an upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and endoscopic brow lift surgery. In her case, a combination procedure allowed her eyes to be more open and rejuvenated for natural results. After photographs are four years after plastic surgery, which demonstrates long-term results with plastic surgery. See her three month brow lift result in our photo gallery.
