Chin Augmentation Before & After Case 154
Before & After
Case Details
A double chin gradually develops in many as one gets older. Fat accumulates under the chin, loose skin and muscle of the neck sags, facial bones thins, and glands fall with time. Each anatomic factor plays a different role in each patient. For example, some patients have excess neck fat, while others may have a weak chin bone. As a result, treatment for submental fullness (i.e. a double chin) will vary based on a patient's anatomy and personal preferences.
This woman had multiple factors contributing to her ill-defined neck and jawline. She had sagging skin and muscle, excess neck fat, a weak chin bone, and droopy neck glands. Plastic surgeons generally do not lift droopy neck glands. She underwent a lower facelift, neck liposuction, and chin augmentation with silicone implant. She has an improved neck, chin, and jawline with the combined cosmetic surgery procedures. Non-surgical treatments would have been insufficient to get her desired results.
