Facial Sculpting Before & After Case 201
Before & After
Case Details
Cosmetic surgeons typically assess the entire face during a cosmetic surgery consultation, not just a specific facial area. A weak chin relative to the face creates unbalance and contributes to a double chin, also known as submental fullness. Patients with a double chin may benefit from procedures such as chin augmentation with a silicone implant, neck liposuction, and/or a lower facelift.
This patient complained of a small chin and considered chin plastic surgery for years. Similar to many patients with a weak chin, she had a prior history wisdom teeth extraction. Computer simulation with cosmetic surgeon Dr. Chaboki helped her appreciate potential results with chin surgery. She chose a medium size silicone chin implant to improve the chin and jawline. Dr. Chaboki provided a natural result via a small hidden incision under the chin. The lower jawline and chin are now better balanced with the rest of the face.
In addition, the neck area has improved without liposuction in this case. Dr. Chaboki may recommend additional procedures, such as liposuction or neck lift, as appropriate for each patient.
