Many men and women want a defined neck and jawline. Patients may consider various procedures to enhance the neck such as liposuction, neck lift, facelift, and chin surgery. Liposuction alone can improve a double chin (i.e. submental fullness), but is often combined with other procedures to contour and lift the neck.

A double chin or weak chin may be present at a young age and in slim individuals despite a healthy diet and regular exercise. Candidates for neck fat reduction with liposuction may also candidates for other facial procedures, such as chin augmentation and cheek fat reduction (buccal fat reduction). 

This Washington DC woman wanted to improve her neck and chin appearance and consulted with facial plastic surgeon Dr. Chaboki. Computer simulation allowed visualization of potential options. She chose liposuction and a chin implant (medium) to improve the neck and improve facial definition. Chin implants are common in women and placed via a small incision hidden under the chin. 

After photographs are only a few weeks after cosmetic surgery, and tissue will continue to tighten over time. Patients typically return to work soon after surgery. She is thrilled with her natural results!
