Rhinoplasty - Cosmetic Before & After Case 88
Before & After
Case Details
Rhinoplasty patients from Washington DC and Maryland request a variety of nasal adjustments to improve proportion. One of the primary goals of rhinoplasty is to make the nose better balanced with the face, rather than to create a new nose. The nose should not appear "operated on".
This patient always felt her nostrils were too big and her nasal bridge was flat and wide. Consultation with cosmetic facial surgeon, Dr. Chaboki, allowed the patient to visualize various potential rhinoplasty procedures on the computer to achieve the patient's desired results. The nostrils were narrowed and the bridge of the nose was augmented naturally with the patient's own cartilage. If possible, using cartilage from the septum or ear is generally preferred during rhinoplasty, as compared to artificial implants. Her nose is now more balanced.
