Non-surgical treatments are very commonly requested by Washington DC area patients. Restylane®, Juvederm®, Voluma®, and Belotero® are some facial fillers commonly used to fill wrinkles and to rejuvenate the face. These specific fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occuring material found in the skin, that help smooth facial skin by adding volume. Results with facial fillers depend on several factors such as the specific material, area of treatment, and amount of filler injected. 

This woman was referred to Dr. Chaboki for cosmetic treatments. She disliked the under eye hollows and asymmetry, and she wanted lower eyelid plastic surgery to improve her appearance. Her prior medical history and significant dry eyes limited her ability to get eyelid surgery. As a result, Dr. Chaboki reviewed potential cosmetic surgery options that would be safe and natural.  

She underwent Restylane® injections that helped improve the appearance of the lower eyelid hollowness and asymmetry. She was able to avoid plastic surgery and risk worsening her chronic dry eyes, but still looks naturally refreshed.
