Fat Transfer Before & After Case 100
Before & After
Case Details
Busy women and men often seek alternatives to a traditional facelift. A traditional facelift rejuvenates the neck and jawline, but may have longer recovery as compared to a mini lift or S-lift type facelifts. Regardless of facelift type, our Washington, D.C., patients often require additional procedures, such as fat injections, chin implant, or cheek lift, to further improve aesthetic results. Due to the multifactorial changes to bone, fat, and skin that occur in one's face, lifting the face alone may not be sufficient to restore youthful features.
This patient wanted to improve her neck, cheeks, and lips. She previously had Restylane® injections in her cheek areas and BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments, which are very common in plastic surgery practices. After seeing another plastic surgeon, the patient was referred by her family member to facial plastic surgeon Dr. Chaboki, who specializes in facelift procedures, to review possible options.
Physical examination revealed thinning of the lips, flattening of the cheeks, and loose, sagging neck tissue. Bone structure of the chin was appropriate, so she did not require chin augmentation. A mini-lift or S-lift type facelift was performed to tighten the neck and improve the jawline. Fat transfer was also performed in the lips and cheeks to further enhance her appearance with long-lasting results. The patient’s own fat was obtained via gentle liposuction. Facelift surgery can be performed via local anesthesia with IV sedation and does not necessarily require general anesthesia.
She now has natural results without appearing “overdone”. Dr. Chaboki wants his patients to look like themselves.
