Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 190
Before & After
Case Details
Rhinoplasty is considered very difficult by plastic surgeons, with revision rhinoplasty being even more complex in many cases. Revision rhinoplasty may be considered after the original rhinoplasty surgery to further improve the nasal appearance or breathing as desired. Similar to primary rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty can be relatively "minor" touchup or major procedure depending on multiple factors.
This gentleman has a long nasal surgical history. He had multiple broken noses and traumas over the years. He originally sought the expert consultation of Dr. Chaboki several years in the past. At that point, he underwent septorhinoplasty to improve his nose.
Unfortunately, he broke his nose yet again years after the plastic surgery and required revision rhinoplasty. The patient trusted Dr. Chaboki and returned to him for his professional opinion.
After reviewing revision plastic surgery options with Dr. Chaboki, he underwent revision rhinoplasty via a closed approach, thus avoiding external incisions. He wanted to return to his preinjury appearance, as much as possible. The nasal bones were reshaped and ear cartilage grafts were required for this revision surgery. The revision rhinoplasty improved his nasal symmetry from trauma. He returned to work soon after surgery and is very happy with the outcome.
Dr. Chaboki performs all types of nasal surgery, including open rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty, and sinus surgery. Closed rhinoplasty is the most popular and may be performed even in the most complex cases. Each patient is unique and appropriate options are reviewed during consultation.
