Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 212
Before & After
Case Details
Narrowing of a wide or bulbous tip is a common request of Washington DC rhinoplasty patients. The tip of the nose is made of skin and cartilage. As a result, any tip narrowing likely requires cartilage modification with either removal and/or rearrangement with stitches and/or grafts.
This woman had chronic nasal obstruction due to a deviated septum and swollen turbinates, in addition to bulbous nasal tip cartilage and deviated nose. She had considered nasal surgery for years. After consulting with facial plastic surgeon Dr. Chaboki, she underwent endonasal (closed) rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. The nasal tip was narrowed and lifted without external incisions. The nose was also made straighter. Her nasal breathing has also greatly improved. After photographs are 8 years after surgery, demonstrating Dr. Chaboki's natural results for an improved nose.
Refining the nose with rhinoplasty is tailored to the unique condition of each patient. Dr. Chaboki performs all types of rhinoplasty and sinus surgery, with a special focus and expertise on closed and preservation rhinoplasty. Read more about rhinoplasty in our blog.
