Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 321
Case Details
Closed, preservation rhinoplasty!
A majority of plastic surgeons perform rhinoplasty via an incision between the nostrils thus leaving a scar. This approach is called open rhinoplasty, since the entire nose is opened. Dr. Chaboki prefers to avoid an external scar and focuses on minimally invasive closed, preservation rhinoplasty. Few surgeons perform this less invasive style of rhinoplasty.
This Washington rhinoplasty patient wanted to improve her profile. She disliked the bump on her nose and droopy tip. She also felt her nose looked broken even though she never injured her nose before. She first tried nonsurgical rhinoplasty with another plastic surgeon, which provided limited and temporary results in her case.
She sought the expertise of a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty and consulted with Dr. Chaboki at Potomac Plastic Surgery. During consultation, he reviewed options to enhance the appearance of the nose so that it would be balanced with other facial features. She underwent a closed, preservation rhinoplasty. After photographs are about four months after surgery. The nose is more balanced after surgery. She is thrilled with her natural results!
