Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 44
Before & After
Case Details
Broken noses are very common and may involve both the nasal bones and septal cartilage. Broken nose repair may be performed in the office via local anesthesia within a couple weeks after surgery. However, once the bones have set, rhinoplasty would be required under general anesthesia to improve the nose. This visiting gentleman from Saudi Arabia had injured his nose years ago. He had already undergone nasal surgery, but had persistent nasal congestion despite prior surgery. He consulted with Dr. Chaboki, a board certified facial plastic surgeon and rhinoplasty specialist, to review revision rhinoplasty options.
With Dr. Chaboki's endonasal (closed) rhinoplasty technique, the nose was improved without any external incisions. He also underwent septoplasty and turbinate reduction to improve his nasal congestion.
