Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 60
Before & After
Case Details
Many Washingtonians request improvement of their nasal profile by reducing the bump. The bump of the nose is made of both bone and cartilage. The top part of the nasal septum contributes to the bump. Overgrowth of the septum or nasal injury creates this bump to varying degrees. The nasal septum can also grow too long toward the tip of the nose, creating a curved appearance.
This Washington area rhinoplasty patient had a long-standing deviated septum, from a combination of family genetics and multiple sports nasal injuries. She always considered rhinoplasty to improve the appearance of her profile and tip, but was concerned about an unnatural result. She had consulted other nasal surgeons before meeting with rhinoplasty surgeon Dr. Chaboki. After her consultation, she was able to comfortably review her surgical options to both improve her chronic nasal congestion and improve the nasal appearance.
Dr. Chaboki performed an endonasal (closed) rhinoplasty to improve the profile and tip. The bump was reduced, the nasal tip was lifted, and the septum was straightened. Her natural rhinoplasty results was combined with the functional improvement via the septoplasty. The nose is better balanced with her eyes and face, without appearing she had plastic surgery.
