Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 72
Before & After
Case Details
Maryland and Virginia area rhinoplasty patients usually ask to improve the profile with cosmetic surgery. The nose is primarily made of skin, cartilage, and bone which are modified to various degrees in order to change the shape and proportion of the nose. The nasal septum is both an internal and external structure of bone and cartilage that contributes to the appearance and function of the nose.
This woman was looking to have rhinoplasty to improve breathing of the nose and to refine the nasal tip and bridge, especially on the profile view. She disliked the bump and asymmetry of the nasal tip. The patient had consulted other plastic surgeons before speaking with Dr. Chaboki, a DC facial plastic surgeon. The patient underwent a closed septoplasty and rhinoplasty to improve both the breathing and appearance of the nose, thus avoiding any external incisions. Osteotomy (bone reshaping) and cartilage grafting were performed to reshape the nose. Her natural results keep her looking like herself without an over-operated appearance. Dr. Chaboki performs all types of nasal surgery, including both open and closed rhinoplasty and septoplasty.
