Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 77
Before & After
Case Details
Many patients who are considering cosmetic rhinoplasty have had prior injury to the nose. The nose may have been broken or cracked one or several times of varying severity over the years. A nasal injury can contribute to the nasal bump or a deviated nasal septum, which can affect both the appearance and breathing. Patients with a deviated nasal septum may have symptoms of congestion, blockage, or allergies.
This woman was looking to have rhinoplasty to improve the bump and breathing of the nose. She had a nasal injury as a teenager, which may have contributed to a deviated nasal septum. The patient had consulted with Dr. Chaboki, a cosmetic surgeon, to review rhinoplasty surgery options. The patient underwent a closed septoplasty and rhinoplasty to improve both the breathing and appearance of the nose, thus avoiding any external incisions. In addition to being able to breathe better through the nose, her natural rhinoplasty results demonstrate an improved appearance.
