Rhinoplasty - Medical Before & After Case 86
Before & After
Case Details
The nose should be proportionate with the eyes, cheeks, lips, and face. While many Washington rhinoplasty patients have a nasal bump or droopy tip, some have a wide nose relative to other facial features. Narrowing the nose and reducing its size can improve facial balance.
This Washington area patient was considering rhinoplasty for a nasal bump and a droopy tip. Consultation with rhinoplasty specialist Dr. Chaboki allowed the patient to review many options regarding changing the shape of the nose. On examination, the nose was too wide at the bridge and tip, which created disproportion to the face. The patient also had a deviated nasal septum and enlarged turbinates from allergies. Via a closed rhinoplasty to avoid external incisions, the patient's nose was narrowed, the bump reduced, and the tip elevated. The patient's own cartilage from the nasal septum was utilized to help reshape the tip. The nasal passages are more open and the nose has improved proportion.
